Insecure Direct Object References (IDOR) in access control in Customer Portal before 2.1.4 on NightWolf Penetration Testing allows an attacker to access via manipulating request parameters or object references.
An issue was discovered on IROAD Dashcam V devices. It uses an unregistered public domain name as an internal domain, creating a security risk. During analysis, it was found that this domain was not owned by IROAD, allowing an attacker to register it and potentially intercept sensitive device traffic. If the dashcam or related services attempt to resolve this domain over the public Internet instead of locally, it could lead to data exfiltration or man-in-the-middle attacks.
An Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability was identified in the `POST /v1/templates` endpoint of the Lunary API, affecting versions up to 0.8.8. This vulnerability allows authenticated users to create templates in another user's project by altering the `projectId` query parameter. The root cause of this issue is the absence of server-side validation to ensure that the authenticated user owns the specified `projectId`. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 1.9.23.
Insecure Direct Object References (IDOR) in access control in Tracking 2.1.4 on NightWolf Penetration Testing allows an attacker to access via manipulating request parameters or object references.
OctoPrint-SpoolManager is a plugin for managing spools and all their usage metadata. In versions 1.8.0a2 and older of the testing branch and versions 1.7.7 and older of the stable branch, the APIs of the OctoPrint-SpoolManager plugin do not correctly enforce authentication or authorization checks. This issue has been patched in versions 1.8.0a3 of the testing branch and 1.7.8 of the stable branch. The impact of this vulnerability is greatly reduced when using OctoPrint version 1.11.2 and newer.
Kottster is a self hosted Node.js admin panel. From versions 3.2.0 to before 3.3.2, Kottster contains a pre-authentication remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability when running in development mode. This affects development mode only, production deployments were never affected. This issue has been fixed in version 3.3.2.
Wazuh is a security detection, visibility, and compliance open source project. From version 4.9.0 to before 4.13.0, the Wazuh API – Agent Configuration in certain configurations allows authenticated users with read-only API roles to retrieve agent enrollment credentials through the /utils/configuration endpoint. These credentials can be used to register new agents within the same Wazuh tenant without requiring elevated permissions through the UI. This issue has been patched in version 4.13.0.
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to 7.5.2 and 8.0.2, the 3rd party authentication handling of Parse Server allows the authentication credentials of some specific authentication providers to be used across multiple Parse Server apps. For example, if a user signed up using the same authentication provider in two unrelated Parse Server apps, the credentials stored by one app can be used to authenticate the same user in the other app. Note that this only affects Parse Server apps that specifically use an affected 3rd party authentication provider for user authentication, for example by setting the Parse Server option auth to configure a Parse Server authentication adapter. The fix of this vulnerability requires to upgrade Parse Server to a version that includes the bug fix, as well as upgrade the client app to send a secure payload, which is different from the previous insecure payload. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.5.2 and 8.0.2.
Captive Portal can allow authentication bypass
A vulnerability was identified in Acrel Environmental Monitoring Cloud Platform up to 20250804. This affects an unknown part of the file /NewsManage/UploadNewsImg. The manipulation of the argument File leads to unrestricted upload. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
Lavasoft Web Companion (also known as Ad-Aware WebCompanion) versions 8.9.0.1091 through 12.1.3.1037 installs the DCIService.exe service with an unquoted service path vulnerability. An attacker with write access to the file system could potentially execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges by placing a malicious executable in the unquoted path.
Improper authorization in the Intel(R) Quick Assist Technology for some Intel(R) Platforms within Ring 0: Kernel may allow a denial of service. Unprivileged software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are not present with special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts.
The Frontend Dashboard plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation due to a missing capability check on the fed_admin_setting_form_function() function in versions 1.0 to 2.2.7. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to overwrite the plugin’s 'register' role setting to make new user registrations default to the administrator role, leading to an elevation of privileges to that of an administrator.
The Frontend Dashboard plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation due to a missing capability check on the ajax_request() function in versions 1.0 to 2.2.7. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to control where the plugin sends outgoing emails. By pointing SMTP to their own server, attackers could capture password reset emails intended for administrators, and elevate their privileges for full site takeover.
Texas Instruments CC2652RB LaunchPad SimpleLink CC13XX CC26XX SDK 7.41.00.17 was discovered to utilize insufficient permission checks on critical fields within Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) data packets. This issue allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted LL_Length_Req packet.
DASAN GPON ONU H660WM H660WMR210825 is susceptible to improper access control under its default settings. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information and modify its configuration via the UPnP protocol WAN sides without any authentication.
An issue was discovered on FIRSTNUM JC21A-04 devices through 2.01ME/FN. They enable the SSH service by default with the credentials of root/admin. The GUI doesn't offer a way to disable the account.
JHipster before v.8.9.0 allows privilege escalation via a modified authorities parameter. Upon registering in the JHipster portal and logging in as a standard user, the authorities parameter in the response from the api/account endpoint contains the value ROLE_USER. By manipulating the authorities parameter and changing its value to ROLE_ADMIN, the privilege is successfully escalated to an Admin level. This allowed the access to all admin-related functionalities in the application. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because there is no privilege escalation in the context of the JHipster backend (the report only demonstrates that, after using JHipster to generate an application, one can make a non-functional admin screen visible in the front end of that application).
| Improper Preservation of Permissions vulnerability in Salesforce OmniStudio (DataMapper) allows exposure of encrypted data.
This impacts OmniStudio: before Spring 2025 |
scratch-coding-hut.github.io is the website for Coding Hut. In 1.0-beta3 and earlier, the login link can be used to login to any account by changing the username in the username field.
