CVSS v3.1 |
| Permission bypass vulnerability in the LBS module.
Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect availability. |
| A permissions issue was addressed with additional restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Tahoe 26.3. An app may be able to access protected user data. |
| The Standard security setting for Mandrake-Security package (msec) in Mandrake 8.2 installs home directories with world-readable permissions, which could allow local users to read other user's files. |
| Microsoft Windows Media Player (WMP) 6.3, when installed on Solaris, installs executables with world-writable permissions, which allows local users to delete or modify the executables to gain privileges. |
| dnskeygen in BIND 8.2.4 and earlier, and dnssec-keygen in BIND 9.1.2 and earlier, set insecure permissions for a HMAC-MD5 shared secret key file used for DNS Transactional Signatures (TSIG), which allows attackers to obtain the keys and perform dynamic DNS updates. |
| artswrapper in aRts, when running setuid root on Linux 2.6.0 or later versions, does not check the return value of the setuid function call, which allows local users to gain root privileges by causing setuid to fail, which prevents artsd from dropping privileges. |
| The default permissions of /dev/kmem in Linux versions before 2.0.36 allows IP spoofing. |
| Skype 0.92.0.12 and 1.0.0.1 for Linux, and possibly other versions, creates the /usr/share/skype/lang directory with world-writable permissions, which allows local users to modify language files and possibly conduct social engineering or other attacks. |
| SilverCity before 0.9.5-r1 installs (1) cgi-styler-form.py, (2) cgi-styler.py, and (3) source2html.py with read and write world permissions, which allows local users to execute arbitrary code. |
| Local privilege escalation due to insecure Unix socket permissions. The following products are affected: Acronis Cyber Protect 17 (macOS) before build 41186, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud Agent (macOS) before build 41124, Acronis True Image (macOS) before build 42902. |
| Improper Handling of Insufficient Privileges vulnerability in Apache OpenMeetings.
Any registered user can query web service with their credentials and get files/sub-folders of any folder by ID (metadata only NOT contents). Metadata includes id, type, name and some other field. Full list of fields get be checked at FileItemDTO object.
This issue affects Apache OpenMeetings: from 3.10 before 9.0.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 9.0.0, which fixes the issue. |
| ZKTeco ZKBioSecurity 3.0 contains a file path manipulation vulnerability that allows attackers to access arbitrary files by modifying file paths used to retrieve local resources. Attackers can manipulate path parameters to bypass access controls and retrieve sensitive information including configuration files, source code, and protected application resources. |
| The configuration of Nozbe on macOS, specifically the "RunAsNode" fuse enabled, allows a local attacker with unprivileged access to execute arbitrary code that inherits Nozbe TCC (Transparency, Consent, and Control) permissions.
Acquired resource access is limited to previously granted permissions by the user. Access to other resources beyond granted-permissions requires user interaction with a system prompt asking for permission.
This issue was fixed in version 2025.11 of Nozbe. |
| Rockstar Games Launcher 1.0.37.349 contains a privilege escalation vulnerability that allows authenticated users to modify the service executable with weak permissions. Attackers can replace the RockstarService.exe with a malicious binary to create a new administrator user and gain elevated system access. |
| Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. In versions 8.8.1 and prior, a privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the Notepad++ v8.8.1 installer that allows unprivileged users to gain SYSTEM-level privileges through insecure executable search paths. An attacker could use social engineering or clickjacking to trick users into downloading both the legitimate installer and a malicious executable to the same directory (typically Downloads folder - which is known as Vulnerable directory). Upon running the installer, the attack executes automatically with SYSTEM privileges. This issue has been fixed and will be released in version 8.8.2. |
| Screen 5.0.0 when it runs with setuid-root privileges does not drop privileges while operating on a user supplied path. This allows unprivileged users to create files in arbitrary locations with `root` ownership, the invoking user's (real) group ownership and file mode 0644. All data written to the Screen PTY will be logged into this file, allowing to escalate to root privileges |
| Incorrect default permissions for some Intel(R) GPA and Intel(R) GPA Framework software installers may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| An issue in InfoDom Performa 365 v4.0.1 allows authenticated attackers to elevate their privileges to Administrator via a crafted payload sent to /api/users. |
| Insecure inherited permissions for some Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Application before version 20.0.1021 within Ring 3: User Applications may allow an escalation of privilege. Unprivileged software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a high complexity attack may enable local code execution. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are present without special internal knowledge and requires active user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (high), integrity (high) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts. |
| Incorrect default permissions for some Intel(R) Memory and Storage Tool before version 2.5.2 within Ring 3: User Applications may allow an escalation of privilege. System software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a high complexity attack may enable escalation of privilege. |
